Respond to a Risk
A response is your plan for dealing with a risk. Adding a response improves your Quality Score.
Response strategies
Lydaro includes six default response strategies:
| Strategy | Type | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Mitigate | Threat | Take action to reduce the probability or impact of the risk |
| Accept | Threat / Opportunity | Acknowledge the risk and decide not to act unless it changes |
| Transfer | Threat / Opportunity | Shift the financial or operational consequence to a third party (e.g. insurance, contract) |
| Avoid | Threat | Change the plan to eliminate the risk entirely |
| Exploit | Opportunity | Take deliberate action to make the positive outcome occur |
| Enhance | Opportunity | Increase the likelihood or impact of the positive outcome |
Your organisation can rename or replace these labels under Settings → Manage lists.

After the response
Once a response is in place, update the residual assessment to show the reduced risk level after the response has been applied.
If the risk has been fully addressed, update the status to reflect the current lifecycle stage.
