Assess a Risk

Assessing a risk determines its probability and impact, which Lydaro uses to calculate risk level.

Steps

  1. Open a risk — Click on any risk in the register

  2. Find the Assessment section — Scroll to "Assessment" on the risk detail page

  3. Set probability:

    • Remote (< 10%)
    • Low (10–30%)
    • Medium (30–60%)
    • High (60–80%)
    • Very High (> 80%)
  4. Set impact:

    • Minor
    • Moderate
    • Major
    • Critical
  5. Save — Click "Save Assessment"

Lydaro calculates the risk level (High/Medium/Low) from probability × impact and updates your Quality Score.

Inherent vs. Residual Assessment

You can record both:

  • Inherent: Risk before any mitigation actions
  • Residual: Risk after your response actions are in place

This shows how much your response strategy is reducing the risk.

Assessment History

Every assessment is logged with:

  • Date/time
  • Assessor's name
  • Probability and impact values

This creates an audit trail useful for governance reviews. Download it via Export Reports.
